Kite surfing: Cleveleys Wind Direction: W Wind Stength: 25 - 30 knots Surf / Sea State: 3" rough messy surf Air Temperature: 4 - 6C Sea Temperature: cold Weather: Bloody freezing, hailstorm, overcast Max Speed: Distance Covered:
High tide was an early one so was never gonna make that espeically after
stayin up till 4 the night before drinking the left booze from NYE and
playin Pro Evo.
Got to Joes house around 1ish and we decided on Cleveleys with the cleaner
water rather than Starr Gate. Was intending to sail all the way upto West
Point which was a good mile but that was unacheivable as the wind had a
hint of Southerly in it which meant it woulda been a hell of a tack upwind
back to the launch point. Could see a few other kiters out at west point as
well.
Only in the water for an hour and a half as it was that cold and the pain
in the hands was becoming unbearbale after trynna retrieve the board a few
times. This meant we didn't have the confidence to try any tricks so just
a case of blasting back and forth with the occassional jump chucked in for
good measure.
Both glad we got out but bloody freezing and a massive squall with hail
when we landed our kites. good timing Joe!
More of the same next weekend please but some warmer temps would be
handier. Went back to Joes for a brew and had a go on these wicked little
toy helicopters. Gonna have to get one.
